Boxes and finish codes
South Bend packaging changed, and old boxes frequently became storage for unrelated lures. Match model name, number, size, color, and package era. Photograph end labels clearly.
Condition points
Look for belly splits, paint checking, screw movement, warped or bent metal parts, replaced hooks, and cleaned surfaces. Large red-and-white areas can make touch-up easier to miss in poor photographs.
